Sony unveils its New Portable Audio Products at CES 2015

All the new portable audio products by Sony will provide freedom to deliver new music experience to the users.

Today at the CES 2015 in Las Vegas, Sony electronics unveiled its new portable audio products which have been specifically designed to reproduce the ultimate audio sound quality without any restrictions or set up hassles.

The consumers can now utilize the new High Resolution NW-ZX2 Walkman player and MDR-1ABT Headphones or the PHA-1A headphone DAC/amplifier. These new products by Sony will enhance their computer or mobile listening experience. Moreover Sony has also introduced a Hi-Res car audio head unit at the CES 2015.

By using unique audio technologies that bring listeners closer to the spirit and intent of the artist’s original performance, Sony has made it possible for the consumers to enjoy music at a higher and better sound quality.

The new technology by Sony, LDAC the company will be able to provide an enhanced wireless listening experience for all their music. These new technologies have been combined with one touch listening in order to facilitate easy connectivity through wireless Bluetooth technology. This has resulted in unmatched flexibility to access high quality sound on the go.  

Mike Woulfe the Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Sony Electronics’ Sound Division stated that we the company has been determined on developing products that will reproduce the best sound quality from any location.

Mike further stated that the company’s new portable audio line-up represents a new music experience for consumers where environmental restrictions no longer exist. He stated that the company has provided the consumers to enjoy the best music no matter where they are.

Sony’s new Walkman NW-ZX2 is said to deliver the best High-Resolution audio experience. The new Walkman is able to reproduce master quality just as the artists originally intended. Moreover Sony has developed S-Master HX digital amplifier only for Hi-Res audio playback.

His then reduces distortion and noise while reproducing wide frequency response for a better and clearer acoustic experience. This new Walkman has also been equipped with DSEE HX technology. This technology has been used in order to allow streaming sources which are not Hi-Res quality to be up scaled to provide higher quality sound.  

Moreover the new NW-ZX2 is also able to support digital music files up to 192 kHz/24 bit and compatible file formats are MP3, AAC, FLAC, WMA, WAV, AIFF and ALAC including DSD. The Walkman is also coming with 128GB built-in memory plus a micro SD card slot. Sony has also provided Wi-Fi and a large capacity Lithium-ion battery that provides up to 60 hours of music playback per charge. 

Sony has worked hard for this new Walkman and has developed a striking design and highly rigid case. The components that contribute to the high quality sound of this Walkman are the thick film copper layer PCBs, OFC cables and high purity lead free solder. Thanks to these the new NW-ZX2 is able to achieve a higher and better sound resolution by reducing the impedance. 

After the success of its MDR-1A headphones, Sony announced the new MDR-1ABT headphones that are the ideal way to showcase high quality sound on-the-go with Bluetooth connectivity. All new MDR-1ABT headphones not only provides users excellent sound quality but they also have ergonomic ear pads for real comfort. And the all new wraparound design stops leaking of sound and it also provides users with best fit.

And there is also present a new compact PHA-1A Portable DAC/Headphone Amplifier that will increase the quality of everything you listen. This all new AMP will provide high resolution music on the go by easily connecting with your compatible digital music device, PC, or smartphones via USB input. This lightweight PHA-1A is the best and ultimate companion for Walkman NWZ-A17.

Last but not least is the Car Audio Head Unit that is announced by Sony at CES 2015 as a part of its new mobile product line-up. This all new Sony Car Audio Head Unit is compatible with high-resolution audio formats including DSD native playback. Thanks to the presence of DSEE HX (Digital Sound Enhancement Engine), this single DIN head unit is able to reproduce high-resolution audio even with MP3’s or other old lower resolution sources.

The Walkman NW-ZX2, the MDR-1ABT Bluetooth Headphones and the PHA-1A Portable Headphone Amp / DAC will be available in spring 2015 while the High-resolution car audio head unit will be available in summer 2015.

The CES 2015 is currently held in Las Vegas from the 6th till the 9th of January.
