Xperia Z4 will be the only flagship device from Sony for 2015.

The Xperia Z3 has just started to arrive in the markets all over the world but Sony is already concentrating on the preparations of its next flagship, the Xperia Z4 which is to arrive in 2015. We have got to know a little bit about the next upcoming flagship by Sony which we are going to see next year. In the past few days we have been hearing quite a few rumors about the Xperia Z3X and some sources have claimed that such a model doesn’t even exist. The truth is that Sony is actually working on the Xperia Z4 which will debut next year in March. Sony will most likely unveil the phone at the MWC event in Barcelona.

The most interesting thing about the Z4 is that it is the only flagship device by Sony for the year 2015 and we have heard about the company dropping its idea of bi-annual flagships it adopted from last year with the Xperia Z and Z1. The most prominent reason behind this could be the saturation in the flagship devices and there isn’t any high chance of growth or development left in this area. Not much can be accomplished through this in a six month period. This can be seen from the example of Xperia Z2 which was upgraded to the Z3 and there wasn’t much to change apart from a few marginal changes related to software and hardware optimization.

From what we have heard, the Z4 is going to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64-bit chipset which will be clocked at 2.8GHz, and the all-new Adreno 430 GPU. The 16 GB storage which we found on almost every device is finally being bumped up to 32 GB and the RAM is also upgraded to a substantial 4 GB.
