Packed with decent features, the price drop makes the phone a fairly good offer.

The Sony Z Ultra Google Play edition receives a price drop by Google. When the phone was initially launched back in December last year, it had been priced at $649 and now after a solid $200 drop after a mere few months, the phone gets a price of $449. Packed with decent features, the price drop makes the phone a fairly good offer.

The phone came out as a variant to the Xperia Z Ultra which was being sold by Sony but comes with stock Android instead. The phone features a huge 6.4 inch display with a 1920×1080 resolution and is powered by the quad-core Snapdragon 800. The RAM features 2 GB and the storage space is quite suitable at 16 GB which is also expandable by microSD. The phone runs on a 3,050mAh battery and comes with the Android 4.4.2 KitKat with the promise of quick updates. The waterproof design of the phone also makes it an attractive option at this price and the camera setup is pretty impressive too with an 8 MP main camera.
