Spotify has finally equipped the Windows Phone app with more Android and iOS features.

At last Spotify has brought joy and great news for its Windows Phone users. Today Spotify announced an updated version of its app for Windows Phones and has brought the best looking Spotify ever. This time the Spotify comes with a darker theme, rounded iconography and refreshed typography. This new dark theme makes the app even better.

Spotify will allow its Window users to save, organize and browse their favorite music the way they want to. Spotify’s collection of music is very vast and will cater to everyone’s needs. Window users can now save albums of their favorite artists and create a playlist for every mood and moment.

Moreover Spotify has also announced to introduce its new and updated Browse feature for the Windows users. This updated Browse feature will deliver an even more relevant and localized content.

This feature will help searching for one’s favorite music according to their mood and makes this very easy and simple. This updated version of Spotify will be available to all Windows users from today. So all Windows users out there hurry and download the best music app ever that has now been upgraded specially for you.

The company stated that the new design of the app makes searching one’s favorite music easier than ever before. Moreover the new dark theme and refined interface lets the content comes forward.

Returning to the Browse feature, it was first launched in 2013. The feature basically helps to deliver even more relevant and localized content. This helps in personalizing music to specific moments and place where one is.

As we have seen Microsoft’s Windows Phone mobile platform often comes second when compared to Android and iOS when it comes to developers creating and updating apps. This is because developers are afraid to invest so much time and money for Windows as there are not enough users of the platform.

However Spotify took this risk and upgraded its app for the Windows users. It is still unclear why Spotify upgraded this app now. Windows first saw Spotify on its platform in 2010 but it took three more years until 2013 to update that to Windows Phone 8.

Analysts think that there is a bigger reason for Spotify to update its Windows phone app now. Well around 52 percent of all listening on Spotify is now conducted on mobile and tablet devices which makes Spotify a mobile-first company.

This helps the company to raise revenue since the company needs to pay for subscriptions in order to access all music features on these devices. So that is why Spotify updates its app on Windows as well in order to drive this trend further and raise more revenues for itself.

Well no matter what the reason for Spotify to at last update the Windows app with the same features as the Android and iOS ones, it’s good for the Windows users as now the can listen to music in a simple and exciting way.
