Microsoft’s Bing uses search data to predict the future. One of their predictions for 2015 is the Super Bowl. Bing sees New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers in the Big Game and not its hometown team the Seattle Seahawks.
Bing has released predictions for 2015 based on statistical models for search, social information, and other relevant indicators. Can search behavior predict the future? Microsoft sure thinks so. The company released a lot of predictions for 2015 across many categories including fashion, awards and sports.
The next major sports event is the Super Bowl 2015 taking place on Feb. 1, 2015. Bing predicts that New England Patriots and the Green Bay Packers will be in the Super Bowl 2015. Bing goes even further predicting that Tom Brady will be leading the Patriots to the Super Bowl win.
We will have to wait about 10 weeks to find out if Bing’s algorithms for predicting the future work.
Bing predicts that Sam Smith will get the Best New Artist and Beyoncé for Album of the Year award at the Grammy Awards. As for the Golden Globes Boyhood will earn the award for Best Motion Picture Drama.
