Survivor is in its 30th season. 30 years is a long time for a show to be successful. The show must have a very creative team that they always manage to attract the audience. This time around the show has thought of another amazing idea.
They will now let the fans choose the contestants for the next season. Every season has been fun for both contestants and the viewers as both of them have been kept on their toes.
Jeff Probst was talking to Entertainment Weekly and he said that sometimes people love what the show does. He also said that sometimes people want to just throw things at them. Now the show will return for its 31st season.
This time around the producers of the show have decided to give some power to the fans of the show. Now the fans will be able to pick the contestants for the next season. The fans will get to pick a total of 20 contestants.
The voting process started on Wednesday and it will continue for another good two weeks. The voting takes place at cbs.com/survivorsecondchance. The fans of the show can visit the Survivor website and there they can view the personal videos made by the 32 finalists.
These are all of the contestants that have played the game once before but never managed to win it. You will be allowed to vote once for top 10 men and top 10 women each day. The full list of possible contestants is at CBS.com.
In the show’s early days, the producers chose the contestants. Back then the show was a phenomenon and it was watched by 30 million people each week. Kelly Wiglesworth was the runner up on the 1st season of the show.
Kelly is also known to have coined a phrase for reality TV in which she said that she wasn’t here to make friends. Then there were contestants that were strong social players but didn’t win the million dollars.
