Taylor Swift will be making herself scarce onstage this year at the Grammy’s when she announced she won’t be performing at this year’s show.
Taylor Swift has broken records in 2014 for selling millions of copies of her hit album 1989, topping the Billboard chart twice and became one of the unique stars to top herself for the first slot. She has already won multiple awards for the album including the Dick Clark award for Excellence.
The biggest awards however, are yet to come. Often called the Oscars of music, the Grammy awards are right around the corner and where Taylor didn’t win any awards last year for her album Red, she is definitely a favorite this year.
Last year, Taylor performed “All Too Well” while playing the piano and dazzled in a beautiful skin shaded dress. She later donned on a silver sequined dress and sat in the front row hoping to win an award for the nominations she had received.
Taylor went home without the gold while her new BFF, Lorde took an array of awards home. She danced to almost all the songs though. She danced rather enthusiastically on Radioactive performed by Imagine Dragons and Kendrick Lamar.

This year, it is a whole different Taylor Swift than last year. This year Taylor has received 3 nominations as anticipated but this year she is a favorite to win. Taylor just took to making an official statement on Twitter and Tumblr (her favorite spot to hang out admittedly) that she will be attending the Grammy Awards ceremony this year. She doesn’t have any news about whether she will win anything but she did say that she won’t be performing this year.

Yes! Our favorite country star would not be performing this year at the Grammys. She will however be presenting the Award for Best new Artist; the nominees of which include Iggy Azalea, Sam Smith, Bastille, HAIM and Brandy Clark. She will also be in the audience for her usual dance party/rage fest like last year. She also wished her fans happy times having a rage fest of their own. Her fans would definitely have a dance party if she wins all three awards she has been nominated for.
