The singer performed in her home town in Vector Arena in New Zealand and at the stroke of midnight, she posted the video of her new single ‘Yellow Flicker Beat’ on Twitter. The video was captioned as her gift to her fans.
The video featured Lorde’s new look and Taylor Swift celebrated her birthday by posting a picture of her and Lorde on Instagram. She wished her a Happy Birthday and commented that although she had turned 18, she really was 300 years old. And she knew all the secrets of the universe. Really? Taylor knows better.

Lorde wrote on her Tumblr, “The first thing that came into my head just now is that i thought i would have less acne at eighteen..some things never change. Lol. Happy birthday to me.”
She also wrote about her 7th birthday. “On my seventeenth birthday, i wrote from my hotel bed in new york. On the team music video release, I wrote from paris. When yellow flicker beat came out, I wrote from the bus, whizzing across the las vegas desert,” she said.

She definitely seem to have a good time enjoying her birthday while heading out with her boyfriend Jason Lowe and her mother Sonja Yelich on Cheltenham Beach. Sonja celebrated the birthday of both her children, Ella and her younger brother Angelo.
