Sony Pictures were looking hard for a way to distribute the movie when BitTorrent offered to put the movie in Torrent Bundle

For the past 20 hours, the movie has been downloaded for 200,000 in USA and 750,000 times worldwide
The movie is only available in US but pirated version is available worldwide

The Sony Pictures hacking has become one of the most trending news this year. The cyber-attack on the company and its employees has shaken the Free World on the atrocious behavior of the villains responsible for such an attack which has been willfully expressed by the government and all agencies. The fact to be considered the most is that all of this happened because of a movie. 

A movie that could not damage anyone too much but the hacking party that goes by the name of Guardians of Peace certainly thought it did. Not only did they threaten to release information about the company which was damaging but they also threatened any theater that Sony approached to release the movie.

Sony was in a fix for a long time. They wanted to excise their right to freedom of speech and prove that no one could threaten the integrity of the company. Yesterday, Google, YouTube and Xbox joined hands with Sony to release the movie on their online sources to support the right of freedom of speech and opinion as dictated by the Constitution.

BitTorrent also jumped at the opportunity to offer their services for the distribution of the film and so far so good, Torrent seems to have followed on their claim. The service offered their Torrent Bundle which gave Sony Pictures a good deal of control on how to distribute the film. That included pricing the bundles.

The film is initially available in the US and within its official release, it has been downloaded 200,000 times, earning as much. Pirate Bay has also joined in to post a link to highlight links to watch the movie. The pirated copies are also available on other torrent links in different parts of the world and within 20 hours of its release. And according to TorrentFreak, it has been downloaded 750,000 times.
