Following the upgrade of the Intel chip, Other World Computer notices a major boost to the performance of the recently released Mac Pro
A firmware company, called the Other World Computer (OWC), informs that they have found the new Mac Pro performs with an increased efficiency, as it gets its processor upgraded.
According to Apple Balla, OWC replaces the stock 6-core E5-1650 V2 chip with the 8-core E5-2667 V2 processor, consequently showing a significant speed boost of 30 percent, based on the Geekbench score.
Moreover, the experiment proves that the components of the new device are certainly upgradeable.
The examination of the OWC agrees with a previous report revealed by iFixit, stating that the hardware of the new Mac Pro is indeed replaceable.
However, a series of news confirming Mac Pro’s ability to get its component upgraded will indeed drive a lot of customers purchasing the outstanding device.
