Tiger Woods to Open His Sports and Dining Club in Florida
Money is never enough and perhaps that is why Tiger Woods is venturing into hospitality business. The golfer is set to open his own sports and dining club in Florida.
The golfer actually disclosed that the club will be up and running in the near future. The club will be known as The Woods Jupiter: Sports and Dining Club and so it’s an establishment that can not be forgotten easily by those who know Woods.
The news about the establishment in Florida coincides with his return to the golf course after being away to nurse some back injuries. As a matter of fact, this time round, he is being trained by a new coach, Chris Como, after being on his own for some time.
The Florida establishment is not yet near completion. The facility is actually covers 5,900 square feet. The club will have ample outdoor space for those who do not want to be confined by walls.
It goes without saying that the location of the club is very prime because it’s situated at Harbourside Place. An amphitheater and marina are also within reach. And as if that is not sufficient, a valet roundabout has been reserved.
Tiger did not disclose the opening date, but sources close to him stated that the facility will be open to the public at the beginning of next year. The golfer said that he had always wished to put up a facility that would bring people together to enjoy great meals and entertainment.
I envision a place where people can meet friends, watch sports on TV and enjoy a great meal,” Tiger said. “I wanted to build it locally where I live and where it could help support the community.
The golfer added that he saw the potential in Harbour Place right from the moment construction works begun. The star argued that the facility is conveniently located because he can still make a few swings at the golf course and also grab a meal at the dining club.
“I’ve been watching Harbourside Place’s development since it broke ground more than two years ago, and know that it is the perfect location for my sports and dining club,” Tiger added. “I look forward to enjoying my restaurant as much as I hope the public will.”
And for those who are still wondering whether he is satisfied with his coach, Como, Tiger is more than happy to work with him as evidenced by his recent tweet.
Happy to have Chris Como consulting and working with me on my swing. I’m excited to be back competing.— Tiger Woods (@TigerWoods) November 22, 2014
