  • Tom Ford sets the trend by launching his Fall/Winter collection in L.A. just before the Oscars

Tom Ford re-scheduled his fashion show to happen two days before the Oscars in L.A. with a star studded attendance for the show.

Tom Ford has become one of the greatest names in Fashion in recent years. Equally loved by men and women, his designs are owned by half the Hollywood. Every year, Ford dresses an array of men and a single lucky female star for the Oscars red carpet. Tom told Reuters the red carpet has become a great opportunity for designers as everyone is looking forward to what the stars are wearing. The trend however has become a predictable trend.

Tom however believes in setting new trends. While everyone was anticipating the latest red carpet fashion and celebrities were putting their final efforts in their Oscar look this year. Guess what Tom did?

His fashion show was due after the Oscars. All his attendees for the show would have been in L.A. for post Oscar interviews and after parties so he decided to take the show to them in L.A. Fashion shows don’t usually happen in L.A. but when you’re starting something new, Tom definitely knew that it has to be done in Hollywood.

He booked the Milk Studios right at the heart of L.A. The studio was modified in a large lounge space, with dim lights and the floor completely covered in white rose petals. With the waiters handing out chilled Veuve Clicquot, it became the event to come to.

Stars came out happily and anticipating to the show. Almost all the celebrities wore Tom Ford designed outfits. Julianne Moore, Anna Vintour, Gwenyth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, Beyonce and Jay Z, Amy Adams, Scarlett Johansson and her husband, Rita Ora, Sofia Vegara and Joe Mangniello, John Legend, Nicole Ritchie, Patrick Schwaznegger and Miley Cyrus, Rosie Huntington and Jason Statham, Fergie and Josh Duhamel, Magic Johnson and his wife were the front row guests at the show. All of them wore Tom Ford, even the men.

So the show started to the up beat of Hey Pretty by Poe as models walked down on the rose petal strewn runway. The designs were amazing as always. The designs featured demims, leopard prints, vibrant colors, fringes and high end coats and slim leather and suede chevron pants tucked into high boots.

The models showcased the dresses on runway as stars looked on in admiration of Tom’s genius. The tempo smoothed down to Abel Korzeniowski’s “Closer than Sisters” as the models walked in gowns. The beautiful dresses were complimented by rose petals raining down in which Jared Leto seems to have given a hand to the workers.

Magic Chambers was so impressed that he bragged about receiving Tom’s designed suits that were no less than 30 in number. He said that Tom’s suits make you look good. Miley Cyrus also commented on the same lines that Tom makes you feel good about yourself.

Where the dresses on the red carpet are made to look flashy and elegant, Tom says his goal is to dress the actress according to her personality. That is the goal behind dressing only one actress on the red carpet.

The lucky ladies who have been dressed by him include Gwenyth Paltrow and Julianne Moore. This year we will have to see who would be wearing Tom Ford along with the array of actors who would be wearing his suits and tuxes at Oscars.
