Toyota tops Consumer Reports’ Reliability Rankings

The latest Consumer Reports rankings on reliability of cars show Toyota at the top and Fiat at the bottom of the long list.

Toyota with its Lexus models has topped the list once again. It has been at the first and second positions for two years in a row. And the Consumer Report shows that among the least-liked vehicles /4/be included the Fiat Chrysler.

The results are clearly a pointer for Americans shopping in the market for vehicles worth their time and money. Besides Chrysler, Mitsubishi and Daimler of Japan and Germany respectively too tanked at the bottom.

Nevertheless, this low ranking on the list does not mean low sales. Chrysler on the other hand has been scraping the barrel since the past half decade or so.

As for the new vehicles, the only problem is that the infotainment systems that they harbor do not work so well. These include satellite radios and hands-free telephones not to mention Net facilities.

The infotainment systems are often displayed on the front dashboards of the vehicles. And they are not very easy to use since their functioning has various complications.

The true winner though is Ford Motors which came out among the first few top slots. And there were various other Japanese brands which scored high. These included Mazda and Honda. Volkswagen and General Motors were also among the high ranking car companies.

Cars have a way of being tools used by men. Much like the male passion for female company, when the masculine expression reaches its epitome, we find individuals running their hands over the solid shiny and smooth surface of a sports vehicle or an all-purpose SUV.

This Consumer Reports survey has lent all those who go through its list a first hand glimpse into the way the cars measure up against each other. From the most ramshackle jalopies all the way to the latest state-of-the-art limousines, there is something for everyone in the stable of mechanical horse-powered muscle vehicles.
