David Lynch and Mark Frost bring back Twin Peaks after 25 years. A book titled The Secret Lives Twin Peaks will catch us up on what happened in Twin Peaks the past 25 years.
The big news of the cult TV show Twin Peaks returning after 25 years broke two weeks ago. Twin Peaks followed an investigation by FBI Special Agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) into the murder of homecoming queen Laura Palmer (Sheryl Lee). Twin Peaks premiered in 1990 on ABC and the second season run 1991. Twin Peaks is the brainchild of David Lynch and Mark Frost. Twin Peaks became a cult show that became part of pop culture. And now there will be an encore after 25 years in 2016.
Now Variety reports that David Frost is writing a book titled The Secret Lives Twin Peaks, that will tell what happened since the show ended in Twin Peaks. That is right. Real Twin Peaks fans will have to read a book before starting to watch the 2016 Twin Peaks.
The new Twin Peaks season will play in the present time. Actor Kyle MacLachlan has hinted on Twitter that he might be back reprising his role of agent Dale Cooper. 2016 Twin Peaks will air on Showtime.
