Ucool Heroes Charge Super Bowl 2015 Ad Released

Mobile game developer Ucool will run a Super Bowl 2015 Ad for its hit game Heroes Charge.

Small game developer Ucool takes out the big check book and buys a Super Bowl spot for its hit game Heroes Charge. Somehow the Silicon Valley based game developer managed to buy a 15 second Super Bowl ad slot and not the usual minimum of 30 seconds.

The Heroes Charge Super Bowl 2015 Ad has been already released and you can watch it below.

Heroes Charge is fantasy role-playing game that is ranked #1 in card-based games on iOS in 130 countries. Mobile Games is a huge market. It is still though surprising for a boutique game developer to enter the Super Bowl ad line-up.

The game has been installed 9.7 million times. I hope Google Play and iTunes are ready on Super Bowl Sunday for a big download spike.

According to VentureBeat uCool says that TV advertising is cost effective for them. Enough so that they also now play in the top league of TV commercials.

Ucool’s CEO Lu Lu says about Heroes Charge: “Heroes Charge’s success is the result of the studio’s focus on exceptionally high quality game design and a strong ‘player first’ mentality. The vision of Ucool is to completely change the ‘freemium’ game model. Unlike others who try to force users to spend money with progress-limiting pay walls, we believe that players will support games that respect their time and money which is why we provide access to all of our game content and upgrades without requiring users to spend a single dollar.”
