Apple’s further attempt to thin out the next generation of MacBooks continues in the Retina MacBook Air
Anything giving us a hint on the still to be released Apple product would certainly be welcome at this stage. First it was the set of artist renditions which fans a look into the basic style of the rumored 12-inch Retina MacBook Air and now to make things even better, famous 3D modeler and designer Martin Hajek has created a set of realistic renderings of the notebook. Hajek has carefully taken into consideration all the details which had been revealed in the previous reports.
The 3D model which he has created has been built around an edge-to-edge keyboard relocating the on-board speakers to grilles above the keyboard. This upcoming MacBook Air is expected to keep roughly the same footprint as the current 11-inch model because of the slightly narrower bezels surrounding the screen but the diagonal measure of the display is expected to be 12 inches.
With Retina MacBook Air’s alleged lack of a USB and MagSafe ports we can see that Apple is still trying to figure out ways to keep slimming down the profile of its notebooks, even if it meant compromising on the input variables. Because of this, new MacBook is only going to have two ports: a headphone jack and a USB Type-C Port along with a pair of microphones on the side.
