Courteney Cox and David Arquette still attached

Courteney Cox and her ex-hubby David Arquette happen to be still attached to each other. But David won’t be attending Courteney’s wedding which is coming up soon.

David Arquette was Courteney Cox’s husband for quite some time before they decided to quit the marriage deal. Today, although they are not with each other, they have a mutual interest: the raising of their ten year old daughter Coco. 

David, who has a weird and funny sense of dressing up in colorful clothes, is still respectful of Courteney, 50, and knows that her fiancé Johhny McDaid will be taking good care of Coco. 

“We are all very tight and very close and very supportive of everyone,” Arquette told reporters last week at the Imagine Ball in West Hollywood.

Meanwhile, when queried about whether he will be invited to their wedding, he responded in the negative. 42-year-old actor replied, “I doubt that.” That of course would be rather inappropriate by any standards. 

But he himself has found love in the form of Christina McLarty, who is an entertainment reporter. The couple welcomed son Charlie West four months ago. 

“It’s my second time around so I have some experience under my belt but it’s 10 years later so that changes some things,” he said of Charlie.

And Arquette proposed McLarty on July 2. “She is the coolest. She is not hard core about it,” Arquette said about McLarty. “She never pressured me to ask her to marry me. She is an incredible woman and I’m blessed to have her in my life.”

Courteney on the other hand will soon be tying the knot with Johnny McDaid who is a rock star. Cox a announced her engagement to McDaid on June 26 via a tweet.

David elucidated the situation with the Friends team of actors and actresses. They were very close to one another and as for the relationship between him and Courteney, it was rock solid. 

David also waxed eloquent about the new lady in his life, McLarty. The two were made for each other. David also spoke of how his young daughter Coco is loving her brother. And she will be the maid of honor in his upcoming wedding with McLarty. 

“She is taking it incredibly, she is never jealous. She is just the best big sister ever. She is on diaper duty more than me!” Arquette said. “She can’t stop kissing him enough!” 

Meanwhile, David sat down in Bravo’s television program Watch What Happens Live Sunday and spoke of how he and Courteney decided to amicably resolve their differences. 

After the divorce they mutually remained engaged in the childrearing of Coco. The split was a coolheaded affair and neither side was angry.

“We just really dealt with it in a very sweet and honorable way. I don’t know. We just love each other. Even though the relationship didn’t work out, we wanted to still remain friends and treat each other with respect and have a great relationship for our daughter,” David said.

“In the negotiating process of a divorce, we did it with a mindful head: ‘What are you cool with?’ ‘OK, I’m cool with that, too.’ There it is,” he said of his split with Courteney. “There was no hair pulling.”

Arquette said that his wife was from Alabama and that there was nothing scandalous about that. He had been questioned in a round of “Arquette Roulette,” if there were any scandals of Courteney he’d like to mention. But when it came to Drew Barrymore, David admitted that he had known her since they were kids and gone out on dates with her.

David said, “We used to date when we were very young kids. Well, not little kids!” It lasted “for a while.” But he was sweet enough to say that Drew was a wonderful and marvelous person. 

“She’s just one of the sweetest, kindest people in Hollywood,” he said. “She always has been, and she always will be. She’s just a lovely, sweet person. We used to run around and just be silly.”

“I haven’t talked to her in a while,” David said. “Drew’s always Drew. She’s always sweet.”
