The HP Split x2 features a dual-battery system.

The HP Split x2 looks like an ultrabook (it actually is), but this PC is also detachable. Hence, the name “Split.” The Split x2 can be used as a tablet and a notebook. It features a 13.3-inch touchscreen display, a fanless cooling system, and BeatsAudio technology.

Running Windows 8, the Split x2 is powered by a 4th generation Intel Core processor and 4GB of DDR3 RAM. There’s also a 128GB SSD, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, USB 3.0, HDMI, and a digital card reader.

Another major selling point here is its 12-hour battery life, all thanks to its dual-battery system on the base and the tablet. The HP Split x2 will be available in the U.S. on June 29. The price starts at $599.99.
