Can we call Shakira and Mark Zuckerberg Facebook buddies?

The Latin pop singer Shakira is becoming fast friends with the creator of Facebook Mark Zuckerberg. On Wednesday Shakira shared a picture of her second son Sasha who is 10 weeks old on Facebook. The picture was liked by none other than Zuckerberg along with the 1.7 million likes by Shakira’s fans. Actress Zoe Saldana was also among those who liked the picture of Sasha. 

However this is not the first time the social media mogul Zuckerberg and the Colombian native singer Shakira have interacted together on Facebook. On Monday Zuckerberg held an online meet up on Facebook consisting of a Q&A session. 

The session was attended by Shakira who asked Mark a question regarding education and technology on his official page. Shakira asked how technology could be used as an educational avenue for people belonging to disadvantaged areas of the world. 

Zuckerberg first thanked Shakira for having asked such an interesting question then went on to answer. Zuckerberg explained he’s very excited about the concept of personalized learning using technology.

Technology can give anyone the ability to gain knowledge by setting their own pace on their interests. Zuckerberg mentioned there are a lot of schools experimenting with learning through technology and receiving good results. Even Zuckerberg is helping to build some schools as part of his philanthropy and the team of Facebook is working on projects aimed to create software’s for powering learning tools. 

The question asked by Shakira was liked more than 9000 times by fans and the answer by Zuckerberg was liked more than 4500 times. Although Zuckerberg created the social media site of Facebook, Shakira’s Facebook page has more than 100 million likes, which is three times more than Zuckerberg’s page following. Shakira was also the most liked celebrity on Facebook until last month when Cristiano Ronaldo took the honor.
