Teri Polo Files for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy

The actress in Meet the Parents, Teri Polo apparently owes some people a lot of money. She has filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy and will not be doing much shopping from now on.

She was Ben Stiller’s girlfriend in Meet the Parents. Also the Meet the Fockers and Little Fockers series had her making appearances in their footage. Then she also played a vital role in The West Wing.

As for her current movie it is aptly titled A Bit of Bad Luck. And it could not have been titled more appropriately since the female star is facing some financial problems currently. 

Well into her middle age, Teri Polo is in deep debt. She owes almost a million dollars to the respective authorities in the form of taxes and credit card bills that just seem to have added up. 

She reluctantly chose the path of Chapter 11 bankruptcy recently. Where this path leads is grist for the mill indeed. About $772,000 is owed in taxes and $36,000 in credit card debts that have long since reached their limits. 

Teri’s funny role as Ben Stiller’s fiancé on Meet the Parents showed her CIA agent father played by Robert DeNiro as a tough no-nonsense man who brutally questions Ben. 

It was quite a lucrative comedy and Teri literally got her big break via this box office success of a film. The one mistake she made that cost her dearly was her decision to make a nude appearance in Playboy a couple of years ago. 

But when the media asked her regarding this blunder of sorts she was adamant and spoke of how the human body was a beautiful thing and that one ought not to be ashamed of it. Her split with Anthony Moore also cost her in the long run. 

And she is also trying to raise two sons with a musician husband nowadays. Besides all these responsibilities, Teri owes another lump sum amount to a landlord after she left a home which he had rented out to her all covered in dog crap and cat excrement. 

She claimed she was a big animal lover and so that was the reason behind this last faulty choice. All in all, the money she owes so many people is an astronomical amount. How she will manage this unmanageable task is indeed a conundrum.
