The brawny actor, Vin Diesel got emotional and choked up while dedicating the latest film Furious 7 to his pal Paul Walker’s memory. The two were very close buddies as costars on the film franchise.
Paul Walker tragically died in a car accident in 2013. He was a fine actor and a smart and handsome man. Not only was Paul a loving father to a daughter but he was a very well-respected and highly-loved figure in Hollywood.
The man radiated energy and was active till his last days alive on earth. Paul’s best friend and bosom partner in the Fast and Furious series of films was none other than the muscular and steel-nerved Vin Diesel.
Vin took the death of his sidekick very seriously and was overcome by emotion and tears. Paul had done most of his scenes for the latest installment of the movie before his youthful demise.
Instead of CGI imagery his brothers were approached to act as substitutes in his place for the final few scenes which were left. Now that Furious 7 is complete and awaits release in the month of April, a tribute to Paul took place some time back.
The movie is dedicated to him and Vin Diesel took to the microphone before a large audience to express his views. He said that he and Paul were so close that in between scenes Paul used to confess to him that there was still a whole lot to come from the later versions of the movie.
He had faith and trust in the process. Vin had a nickname for Paul. Vin called him Pablo and said that this one was for Pablo. A picture of Paul came on the screen behind him and he turned towards it to show his gratitude towards the main man who had made the movie a possibility and whose magic was such that he lit up the screen with his presence.
Vin Diesel at one point stopped to collect himself since he was so overcome by memories of Paul. That was when the crowd prodded him with the words “You have family here, Vin”. This of course revivified Vin Diesel’s courage to go ahead with his speech and he appreciated the brotherly gesture and thanked the audience members.
He said that filming the movie without Pablo was a very difficult task. This one is for you, he addressed the soul of the deceased Paul Walker. Vin had taken time off from attending to his newly born baby from his girlfriend to address these poignant words in praise of a great actor and fine human being who will be missed dearly by his fans, friends and family.
