Vin Diesel to hire Kurt Russell for Fast and Furious 8

Vin Diesel thinks of the Fast & Furious stories in terms of trilogies and Kurt Russell’s character will be featured again in Fast & Furious 8 in a New York storyline!

Last night Vin Diesel revealed possible storyline and characters for the next instalment Fast 8 on Jimmy Kimmel Live. Even though Furious 7 is yet to be released the franchise star Vin Diesel is already planning ahead.

On Jimmy Kimmel Live, when asked about the new additions to the cast Diesel called Nathalie Emmanuel as great and then gave a little insight into the role of Kurt Russell. According to Diesel the role of Kurt Russell /4/even follow them into the film Fast 8. 

Diesel explained how he always thinks before time about the next Fast movie and Kurt Russell was actually hired to be made a part of the Fast 8 cast. Diesel revealed the character of Kurt Russell is meant to be more involved in the plot of Fast 8, which takes place in New York.

Diesel did not give more details but we can be safe in our prediction of Russell’s character surviving at the end of Furious 7. Jimmy and Diesel further went on to discuss how Furious 7 is a bit sad due to the presence of Paul Walker seen throughout the film.

A new clip of Walker and Paul in character from Furious 7 was also shown on Jimmy Kimmel Live! which showed Diesel singlehandedly picking up a car so Walker could slide underneath it.

After watching the clip Kimmel joked about the likelihood of the scene being real and Diesel shared how the stunt was carried out. Lastly Diesel made his farewell by announcing he has to go home to his 2 and a half week old daughter to the crowd’s delight.
