Watch Shaggy Off between Tonight Show’s Higgins and Shaggy

Jimmy Fallon hold a ‘Shaggy Off’ between the real Shaggy and the Tonight Show’s announcer Steve Higgins!

In the recent episode of The Tonight Show rapper Shaggy had a showdown with Higgins. Jimmy Fallon is not the only person on The Tonight Show with the power of impersonation as the show’s announcer Steve Higgins performed his best impersonation of the Jamaican born musician Shaggy.

On Wednesday night Jimmy Fallon held a battle between Higgins and the real Shaggy to determine who the better ‘Shaggy’ is. Fallon announced it was a rap battle and the Roots provided the beats as Mr. Boombastic challenged Higgins to a ‘Shaggy Off’!

Fallon set the rules for the battle and told both the real Shaggy and Higgins they will take turns to spit in the mic i.e. spray some verbal graffiti. Fallon then warned he wants a clean Shaggy Off challenge. 

The real Shaggy went first as he is the Shaggy, but when Higgins was given the mic he was like a slightly altered clone of Shaggy and gave some very impressive performance in the ‘Shaggy Off’.

However in the next round the real Shaggy brought his Boombasticness and even impressed his ideal impersonator and opponent Higgins. But when Higgins was given the mic again, he delivered a performance just as compelling as the Real Shaggy and then it was the turn of the reggae artist to be blown away by the Shagginess. 

It was hard to decide who won the ‘Shaggy Off’ as both the real and the impersonating Shaggy were on their A-game. One thing was clear both Shaggy and Higgins immensely enjoyed themselves as they both cheered for each other while the other was performing and even providing back up dancing for their opponents.

In the end Fallon announced the real Shaggy as the winner of the 2015 Shaggy Off!
