Windows 10 Release Date is July 29 says Microsoft

Microsoft has announced the Windows 10 Release Date after a leak on an online retailer’s site.

The Windows 10 Release Date is earlier than the leaked date we reported yesterday about. As reported online retailer NewEgg leaked Windows 10 units with a release date of August 31. Today Microsoft announced though that the Windows 10 Release Date is July 29.

Microsoft highlights in Windows 10 that the start menu is back. Other highlights include Windows Defender anti-malware protection, Cortana voice assistant, Microsoft Edge browser, Universal Windows apps, Windows Continuum, Windows Hello login, Windows Store, Xbox Live integration and many new redesigned apps.

On July 29, consumers can get Windows 10 for PCs and tablets by taking advantage of the free upgrade offer, or on a new Windows 10 PC from retailers. If a consumer purchase a new Windows 8.1 device between now and then, the Windows 10 upgrade will be available to them and many retail stores will upgrade their new device.

Windows users can now reserve Windows 10 in the Windows 10 app. After the reservation is made, Windows 10 will be downloaded automatically once it is released.

Microsoft designed Windows 10 to run on the broadest device family ever, including Windows PCs, Windows tablets, Windows phones, Windows for the Internet of Things, Microsoft Surface Hub, Xbox One and Microsoft HoloLens. It is a bold promise. Let’s see if this will actually work in real life.

Cortana is already looking forward to be on your PC.
