Wiz Khalifa, Charlie Puth & Lindsey Sterling took the stage of the Billboard music awards 2015 to pay tribute to Paul Walker.

At the Billboard Music Awards Furious 7 stars Ludacris and Tyrese announced the rapper Wiz Khalifa on stage,  who then went on to perform ‘See you Again’ in a touching tribute. The hit single ‘See You Again’ was opened by Charlie Puth who opened the ballad on a piano, while Wiz Khalifa soon jumped in and rapped away his part.

The duo was joined on stage by violinist Lindsey Sterling and gave such a magnificent performance it ensured not even a single dry eye was left in the house. The song was sung as a tribute to the late star Paul Walker amazing to say the least.

While Puth and Khalifa sang the emotional ballad on stage a video montage to Paul Walker played on the screen in the background. The footage contained clips of Walker from all of his appearances from 6 of his Fast and Furious movies. The music video for the song ‘See You Again’ also contains footage of the deceased star and shows the strong bond Walker had with all of his cast mates.

Previously when the music video released in early April it broke records and Puth even thanked the fans on Twitter for their overwhelming response. The song received about 7 million hits in just 2 hours.

Wiz Khalifa previously stated his inspiration for the song was to make a song to which everyone can relate. According to Wiz Khalifa the song is personal n a level where everyone can feel it and not feel disconnected.  Wiz Khalifa earlier paid homage to Uma Thurman by a performance with the Fall Out Boy for the film Pulp Fiction at the Billboard Music Awards 2015.
