This new and innovative hotel is going to have robot staff and face recognition instead of room keys and will be opening the summers at Huis Ten Bosch theme park in Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan.

Robots at the hotel will provide a wide range of services at the hotel such as room cleaning services, front desk and porter services. This certainly means that you will be checked in by robots and have robots carry your bags to your room at the new hotel.

The hotel’s first building complex that consists of 72 rooms is scheduled to open on the 17th of July 2015 and will be followed by the second phase which consists of 72 rooms as well in 2016. It is being said that a single room at the hotel is going to be priced at ¥7,000 per night and a twin room will cost nearly ¥9,000.

Huis Ten Bosch is a theme park in Nagasaki, Japan which basically recreates a Dutch town. The theme park is complete with actual-sized copies of Old Dutch buildings in order to bring the experience of The Netherlands to Japan.

The new hotel will operate under the motto ‘A commitment for evolution’. The hotel will be featuring three actroids which are robots with strong human likeness and these actroids will act as receptionists.

These actroids will then be able to engage in intelligent conversations with the human guests at the hotel. It is going to be quite exciting to be received by robots at the reception, can’t wait for this hotel to start operating.

Moreover president Sawada told JapanTimes that they would make the most efficient hotel in the world and by having robots costs would be lowered. He also stated that they plan to make 1000 more hotels that will be based on the same idea of employing robots as its staff.

The hotel will also not have an air-conditioning rather a radiation panel will be used that will detect body heat in the rooms and adjust temperature according to it. Solar power and other energy saving features will also be used to further lower costs.

Well the hotel certainly seems as one that should be visited for sure. Let’s see whether these robots are more efficient than human beings or not!
