The X-Files star and sidekick of Scully, David Duchovny is to release an alternative album pretty soon. And it will have him showing some moody alt rock themes he had been saving up until now.
David Duchovny’s album Hell or Highwater is arriving in the season of flowers and fresh springs. The track list has a dozen numbers. Intricately construed by the Californication actor, the songs are pretty good stuff that will afford hours of listening pleasure and a solid dose of entertainment.
Hell or Highwater and Another Year are two of the best gems on the album. David expressed himself effusively by saying that while it was a dream come true he could not for the life of him know how the dream became a reality. It was a mystery indeed.

All he was able to say was that somehow his talents and the media he chose dovetailed to create these 12 odd songs that had everything to do with him and the personal experiences he had undergone in a well-lived life.
“Making this record is a dream come true, but I never had this dream – it’s still a shock when I think about how all this music happened,” Duchovny said in a statement to RollingStone. “What I do know is that I feel these songs represent the truest expression that I’ve ever been able to achieve and I look forward to sharing it with everyone.”
He compared his songs to R.E.M. ansd Wilco. Yet David said that they were a series of choral and rhythmic fantasies that contained melody and timbre and acoustic beauty. Nothing like them had ever escaped his artistic toolbox. David Duchovny felt sure the audience would hand on to every note and twang!
