- X-Men: Apocalypse adds three new members in its star cast.
Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp have been cast as Jean Grey, Cyclops and Storm in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse by director Bryan Singer.
The rumors that Channing Tatum might be reprising the role of the Gambit in the upcoming X-Men: Apocalypse movie made most of the fans overlook the fact that the movie also had other characters to cast.
Director Bryan Singer is on the mission now and we caught a sneak of auditions the production was holding a few months ago.
It seems to have bore fruit because Bryan Singer despite his own little scandal last year has found three new cast members. The new movie in the franchise will be set in the 80s depicting the characters of the characters in the original movie.
We know that X-Men: Days of the Future Past destroyed the existence of the past two movies including Origins and Wolverine, it will be the final chapter of the X-Men franchise. The first class is being joined by the younger versions of Jean Grey, Scott Summers and the silver-haired Egyptian goddess Storm.
The actors who have been cast to reprise these roles are Sophie Turner, Tye Sheridan and Alexandra Shipp. You might know Sophie from Game of Thrones. She definitely has a mane of flaming red hair, bright blue eyes and beauty that has been characterized with Jean Grey’s role ever so often.
Her beau Scott Summers aka Cyclops is being portrayed by Tye Sheridan and that’s not the guy who got abducted in high school in X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Storm is being played by Alexandra Shipp who played Aaliyah in Lifetime last year.
We do hope that these stars fit right in with the returning cast including James McAvoy, Jennifer Lawrence and Michael Fassbender. The anticipation is running high if Channing Tatum confirms to be in the X-Men: Apocalypse cast as well, many are predicting the movie to be the best in the series so far.
