Young Thug’s Road Manager Arrested for Shooting Lil Wayne Tour Bus

The tour bus shooting /4/tied to rapper’s ongoing feud with Young Thug, sources suggest

A man has been arrested on Thursday in connection with Lil Wayne bus shooting incident happened in last month, according to Billboard.

The suspect, whose name is described as Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, has been charged with aggravated assault, terrorist threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, criminal gang activity, reckless conduct and discharging a weapon near the street. He is reportedly serve as a road manager of Wayne’s rival Young Thug and also a member of Bloods – a street gang involved in criminal and illegal activities. 

It has been said that the bus shooting incident which took place in /4/26 /4/have something to do with Wayne’s ongoing feud with Young Thug, a feud which stemmed from the Birdman’s Cash Money records and Thug’s decision of giving the title of “Carter 6” to its mixtape. “The Carter V” is Lil Wayne’s studio album from Carter series which has been repeatedly delayed due to conflict between Wayne and his label Cash Money. Although Young Thug clarified that he is naming his collection “Carter 6” to pay a tribute to Lil Wayne but replaced it with “Barter 6” just before the release after Wayne threatened to take a legal action against him.

Police suggest that the incident was an effort to gain status as a Blood by “committing a high profile shooting of a rival rap artist.” Suspect’s arrest warrant was issued on /4/21st but he was taken into the custody on Thursday. Jimmy Carlton Winfrey was also convicted of drug possession in Florida in October and was sentenced to two-year probation.

Lil Wayne’s bus was shot early morning in /4/26 in Atlanta when the rapper and his crew were leaving a nightclub after a performance. The bus was shot multiple times but luckily, no one got injured in the incident.
