She has left us all bereft. /1//10//11//12/Hooks is no longer amongst us. The SNL woman gave up the ghost on Thursday at the age of 57. The reason of death remains unknown. She had her roots in Atlanta and soon enough was doing the rounds of the comedy scene.
Her comedic posse was called The Groundlings. She took her rightful position alongside such greats as: Chris Farley, Mike Myers, Phil Hartman, Dana Carvey and Dennis Miller. The period that was her heyday lasted from the mid 80s to the early 90s.
She was a constant fixture on the platform and even after her retirement, she returned several times to show the world what she had in the way of some good old comic relief. She had been under the effects of some debilitating disease.
Several famous people took to Twitter to pass on their comments and reminiscences about the comedian who had made them all laugh away their sorrows.
Katie Couric spoke of how she was sad to hear about the death and really loved her show on SNL. See her tweet below.

Colin Quinn said in passing that she was an extremely funny person and definitely was underappreciated by the Zeitgeist of which she was a part. It appears to be the case that /1//10//11//12/Hooks was an SNL veteran alright.
Sad to hear about /1//10//11//12/Hooks. Very funny and very underrated.

She had credibility and a reputation that saw her through. She had acted in comedy skits along with some of the brightest and most talented stars. Her striking impersonations of Sinead O’Connor and Hillary Clinton made many crack up despite themselves.
She had been going out with Kevin Nealon during the peak of her fame. And her role in 3rd Rock from the Sun as well as on Pee Wee’s Big Adventure won her several accolades too.
/4/her soul rest in peace!
