12 New Features In iOS 8 Beta 2
The second beta of iOS 8 has just been released by Apple and the changes and alterations have already become the centre of our attention and you’ve got to trust us when we say these are going to be your favorite changes.
1.Messages App Settings Gains Raise To Listen
We can now see a new toggle under the Settings of the Messages app which provides an apt description for the Raise to Listen feature. This feature is going to let you hear and subsequently reply to incoming audio messages by placing your phone next to your ear.

A little tweak to the overall aesthetic can go a long way and this one surely brings a fresher start. The camera and voice memo buttons have seen a switch in color from blue to gray.
3. Podcasts App Comes Pre-Installed
This bit of change is simply going to be cherished by all the lazy bummers who can now cheer at the news of the Podcasts app being already installed natively. So this remains on your home screen regardless of whether you are going to use it or not.
4. QuickType Keyboard For iPad
We all know that with the onset of the iOS 8, Apple has allowed third parties for the keyboard feature but we are not sure what exactly they were thinking or whether third party intervention will really be necessary because they have come up with their own stock QuickType facility which can be tested with the second beta.
5. No Auto-Jump to App Store
This is getting rid of one annoying thing for sure. The App Store content ads on the mobile Safari usually open up the native App Store app without explicit user consent but the second beta demonstrates how this action would now be blocked by Safari. The App Store would require your permission to open.
6. New iCloud Photos Splash Screen
When given the option of iCloud Photos, you will lan don this completely new transformed page which is a far cry from boring.
7. Quick Website Search Setting For Safari
By toggling this feature on, you’ll be able to find information within a specific website by making reference to said site in your search.
8. Home Data Setting In Privacy
All those apps which have been granted permission to access the information related to HomeKit feature will be listed under this feature.
9. Read All For Messages
This new feature is going to be a blessing for all those instances where you find your inbod loaded with unwanted texts or the ones you don’t want to read. After hitting the ‘Edit’ button on the top left hand side of the main Messages app view, you will be presented with the “Read All” option which will be at the bottom of the thread. A single push can allow you to mark all your texts read.
10. New “Allow Notifications” Switch
This feature can be accessed through Settings > Notifications and will allow users to enable / disable all notifications for each app.
11. Pinch Out In Safari
To View Tabs Tab view with this second beta is nothing but a piece of cake. Instances where you have more than one tabs opened up in Safari, a simple two-finger pinch gesture will take you to the tab view so you can have a look at all the tabs running the in background.
12. ‘No Cell Coverage’ In Battery Usage
This new feature can be found in the Battery Usage pane in the Settings app. It shows how much battery your iPhone is hammering when it doesn’t get cellphone coverage.
