Mischa Barton Heads Up E-Cig Campaign and Talks Regret of Doing The O.C.

Welcome to the U.K., ladies. Years after she left the shores of The O.C., Mischa Barton has found herself in Britain with a surprising new gig.

The former teen star, who famously played Marissa Cooper on the hit soapy FOX drama, is now getting paid to promote electronic cigarettes. She is leading a campaign for VAPESTICK, “the ultimate e-cigarette.”

The British actress, 28, poses in high-fashion photos for the brand, holding a blue-tipped e-cig between her fingers as she gazes moodily at the camera.

In addition to her campaign photos, Barton will be conducting a search for England’s “most stylish vaper” to lead VAPESTICK’s Style Icon ads as the face of the company, with perks including a shopping spree and a stay at a luxury hotel in London.

While she was willing to sign up for the vaping job, one gig Barton feels less positively about is her past role on the television show that made her famous. When asked by Metro whether she would do The O.C. again if given the chance, she said, “Probably not.”

“It’s something I came so close to not doing,” Barton continued. “I had a really great thing with film. People say be grateful for what you have but it [is] certainly not the kind of thing I was expecting it to be… I’ve kind of seen it all reports US Weekly.”

While her O.C. costars Rachel Bilson, Adam Brody, and Benjamin McKenzie went on to lead successful acting careers after the February 2007 wrap of the show, Barton famously struggled with her personal life and failed to replicate the popular fame that she found with her turn as Marissa Cooper.
