The software update will certainly simplify things
- “Quick View” feature introduced
- One click for mode change
- Humidity level also shown
The Nest Learning Thermostat users are going to be able to get their hands on the software update which is scheduled for this week and is going to bring some improved automation smarts as well as a few interface tweaks here and there. You might not be so excited after hearing this that new features arriving shortly to the Nest software version 4.3 are not going to carry anything out of this world. However, there is a “Quick View” feature which is something worth looking forward to since it is going to provide you with more detailed information about your thermostat as well as the environment prevailing in and around your home.
When you press the button on the Nest, you will not just get the indoor and outdoor temperature, but these two readings will now be accompanied by the humidity level as well. And in order to see the menu, all you would have to do is turn out the outer ring and then each of the icons in it will reveal small yet relevant information.
The software update is looking forward to simplify things for the user by showing how much heat has been used by you recently. You can change modes by just pressing a button and that’s all you need to do to set to Home or Away mode. There is no need to go any further deep into the options in the menu and the best thing is that you no longer have to wait for the mode to change only after it senses your thermostat.
