Flickr is trying very hard to become a mainstream website like Facebook and Google and it recently announced a big update.

There are some major changes coming to Flickr’s website. They are trying to compete with the likes of Facebook and Google. According to Flickr the new update will allow the user’s to easily upload more images.

Now the website includes a new Camera Roll that will allow users to sort through their photos. They will be able to sort the images with respect to the date taken or the date the picture was uploaded.

Flickr head says that the users will now be able to sort their images using their new image recognition technology. This will enable the users to sort their photos into categories. Flickr believe that they have made lives easier for users with Camera Roll.

They believe that now they have made things easier to access and view the user’s entire catalog of images. Now you can organize you photos with fluid gestures using your mouse or your touch screen. Flickr also said that the users would be able to see their entire history of photos by when they uploaded and when they were taken.

Now you can select the photos and add titles. You can also add descriptions, tags and other metadata. It looks like Yahoo and Flickr are trying to become a force to be reckoned with. They were once a huge company and everyone used to use their services.

Now they are trying to come back from the dead to regain their former glory. Now the users will be a given 1 TB of space so that they can add more photos to the cloud. The new image recognition technology is being added on to the website’s search capabilities.

So now if the user searches for ‘Apples’ in the search bar, they will get pictures of actual apples. Flickr is also ready to release new apps for Android and iOS platforms. The apps will be updated but remember that all of the desktop website features won’t be available in mobile app.
