Exactly who that villain will be in the movie is unknown. All we know is that he will be in the same vein as Vader. The actor who will play the new bad guy in the film has reportedly been chose.
The Guardian reports that Adam Driver, the actor from the HBO series Girls, will be playing the villain. According to reports, Driver beat out more established actors for the role such as Michael Fassbender and Hugo Weaving. Star Wars has a history of using little known and unknown actors in key parts, so the move is no surprise.
