Even after Samsung releases the Android 5.0 for the S5, and you are on a carrier contract, chances are you will be kept waiting for another month or probably more.

Here is some great news for all the Galaxy S5 owners; the phone is going to get its full share of the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop in December this year. Samsung’s flagship isn’t the only lucky one to get the latest updated OS and joining it is the Galaxy Note 4 phablet which also stands in line. From what we had heard of earlier on it seemed as if the GalaxyS5 was going to get the Lollipop as early as November but now we are hearing it from the sources that Samsung has planned for this update to reach the S5 in December. We haven’t been given any time frame like always.

From past experience we know that it takes a long period of time for the Android updates to make their way across the globe and for Samsung this is going to be a problem if it has to announce the update for the rest of its fateful devices too. We are not just looking at the S5 here but we are considering the entire picture because everyone’s concerned how long it will take before they can enjoy the latest update from Android.

There is going to be a long wait even after Samsung releases the Lollipop for the S5 and you are already on a carrier contract. You wouldn’t like to hear this but the truth is that your won’t be able to get away from your 4.4.4 unless your carrier approves the update and makes some necessary adjustments to it.
