Apple’s iOS 8.3 beta build comes with many new features that include easier Google login, wireless CarPlay, new Emojis and Apple Pay for China.
On Monday, Apple seeded to developers the first beta version of its iOS 8.3 which also includes Xcode 6.3 beta with Swift 1.2. This Swift 1.2 version included in iOS 8.3 beta build number 12F5027d is a new version of Apple’s Swift programming language that comes with some major changes.
iOS 8.3 beta build includes a significantly enhanced Swift compiler with visible improvements that include incremental builds, faster executables, better compiler diagnostics and stability improvements. A new Swift Migrator tool is also available in Xcode 6.3 beta for developers to shift from Swift 1.1 to Swift 1.2.
9to5Mac notes that the new iOS 8.3 beta version comes with a new wireless CarPlay feature for the iPhones. Now the iPhone users do not need a USB Lightning cable to connect their cars with their iPhones. They can wirelessly connect their smartphones with their cars.
It was first reported last year in March that Apple was working on a wireless CarPlay. Now after almost an year, we see the wireless CarPlay feature in new iOS 8.3 beta build. However, it is still not known that when this feature will be available for general public and which car models will support this wireless CarPlay feature.
Apple also improved Google login for iOS 8.3 beta build users just like it did with OS X 10.10.3. Now iOS 8.3 users will login in Google with two-factor accounts as you can see in the image below.
Apple has also added some new Emojis in iOS 8.3 for the iPhone and iPad users and also brings a new Emoji picker. And the iOS 8.3 beta build also brings Apple Pay for China users via Union Pay. Apple has also updated its Health app in iOS 8.3.
