Apple is said to be planning to add split-screen multitasking to iPad with iOS 8 in order to match famous “snap” multitasking feature present in Microsoft Surface tablets.



The latest tablets from Apple Incorporated and Microsoft match each other in a fiercely competitive spirit. The two large conglomerates have locked horns with each other alright. 

Microsoft had come up with its Surface that has a multitasking feature called “snap” through which users can snap multiple apps onto the screen It is a very popular feature. But Apple Incorporated is said to be working on something even more superb. Apple is reportedly planning to add split-screen multitasking facility to iPad with iOS 8 that will allow users to run and interact with two iPad applications simultaneously. This is a nifty feature and definitely for all the nerds of the planet. And the good thing is that it can perform in a multitasking manner on iOS 8. This operating system will take Apple one step higher in matters of functionality and durability. 

This new split-screen iPad multitasking feature will allow customers to use two iPad apps at the same time. And the sources also said that this new iPad multitasking feature will even allow apps to more easily interact.

According to 9to5Mac, “A split-screen iPad multitasking feature has been requested by iPad fans for several years and some designers have even designed sample user-interfaces and videos for how they would like the feature to function. The feature is said to be designed with the 9.7-inch iPad display in mind, and it is unclear if the feature will work on the smaller-screened iPad mini.

The feature is said to work exclusively in landscape mode, which allows for increased screen space. The feature /4/also be key to a larger-screened iPad, which Apple is actively developing for a launch either later this year or in 2015.”
