Hourly tap reminds to get up and go

Apple CEO Tim Cook has certainly been a busy man of late. He has to with the impending launch in April of the Apple Watch. Cook on Tuesday spoke at the annual Goldman Sachs Technology Conference and it was there where he spoke a lot about the Apple Watch. One feature that Cook spoke about was that the Apple Watch would start to bring an end to laziness. He said that sitting and doing nothing ‘is the new cancer’ and that the Apple Watch will go out of its way to prevent that cancer from spreading.

Cook said on Tuesday during the Goldman Sachs gathering that the Apple Watch will have a tap mechanism with it that will tap a person every ten minutes to the top of the hour to remind them to get up and stretch and walk around. Cook said that people at his Apple headquarters are currently wearing the watch and when the time comes, there are a lot of people standing up and walking around.

‘It has taken a while to get used to but in the end it is a very good thing. Doctor’s today believe that sitting around is the new cancer’ said Cook. This new feature is certainly more good news and features that will be coming to the Apple Watch. Cook went on to say to the Goldman Sachs folks that Apple is now the richest company in the world with a total value of over $700 billion. Cook also added that that Apple Watch will start shipping in April but has not given an exact date in April that the launch will actually come. He also talked about the record iPhone sales that Apple had during the last reporting quarter and that the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus has been doing well beyond what they and analysts believed as far as sales go.
