Apple’s iPhone 6S Might Embrace 2GB RAM

Apple's iPhone 6s might embrace 2 GB RAM

This is going to be the first bump in RAM after the launch of iPhone 5 in 2012

Considering the trend from the past few years of the Cupertino giant, one can be quite sure that this year is going to bring the iPhone 6S and most likely even the iPhone 6S Plus and in order to start things up, we have even been getting some rumors ever since the first day of 2015. The launch of these two new variants is also going to mark a big change in Apple smartphones – sources familiar with the developments have informed that the next iPhone is going to ship with 2 GB of RAM.

So the RAM is going to be twice as much as we have had on the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus and ever since the iPhone 5 made its debut in 2012, this is going to be the first RAM enhancement in the iPhone. But even before the launch of the iPhone 5, the single GB RAM was embraced by the iPad 3 and then Apple graced us with the 2 GB iPad Air 2.

Though the need for an increase in RAM was never really felt by iPhone users, it goes without saying that an increase in this area is likely going to increase the capacity of the device to multitask. However, this is going to require more battery juice than a single GB RAM but this shouldn’t be an excuse keeping Apple away from the enhancement. A single GB RAM does sound too obsolete taking into mind the competition right now.

We are fully supporting the idea of the increase in RAM and are quite sure it is going to happen but there is one thing about which we aren’t so positive and that is the Apple SIM which made its debut along with the iPad Air 2 a year ago. It doesn’t appear likely that the fruit company is going to include this new SIM in the iPhone 6S and 6S Plus versions.
