Asus ZenFone Selfie with 13MP front camera is a blessing for Selfie freaks

The front facing cameras were once considered to be a blessing in disguise and was only used for video calls. Nowadays, it has now become more of a need and irrespective of the gender, the majority of the people look for a relatively good front facing camera to accommodate their selfie needs. This rise in demand from the masses has actually forced the manufacturers to add a better selfie cameras to their smartphones. ASUS has just joined the list of such manufacturers as they have recently announced a Smartphone called as Zenfone Selfie.

In the past, smartphone makers like Sony have released phones with 8 MP front facing camera just to fit the needs of the masses of taking vibrant and wide selfies. It seems like ASUS wants to take a leap forward in that race and is aiming to offer something really cool to look forward to. ASUS announced the Zenfone Selfie at Computex 2015 in Taiwan. It does not only feature an impressive 13 MP front camera, although one of the major attractions, it does have some other eyebrow raising specs too.

It features a 5.5 inch IPS 1080P LCD display and is protected by Gorilla Glass 4. It is powered by Snapdragon 615 chipset, which is a surprise as ASUS usually chooses the Intel or the cheaper MediaTek chipsets. The Smartphone will be available in two different variants with 2 and 4 GB RAM. Talking about the 13 MP selfie camera, it has an F/2.2 aperture and has 24 mm wide angle lens. So, you can take wider selfies and if you think you have even larger numbers of friends, then you can just turn on the panorama selfie mode and add them all to the frame.

The new ASUS Zenfone Selfie is not just about the selfie camera as it offers pretty good overall specs, but surely its selfie camera is one of the highlights of the this newly announced phone. There is no news about the pricing and release date yet, but we shall update you as soon as we have a word.
