Hamilton wins Bahrain Grand Prix with impressive performance

F1 fans were probably glued to the TV this weekend watching the Bahrain GP. The race proved to be another dominating performance by Mercedes and Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg. Hamilton and Rosberg were far ahead of the competition during the event putting a multi-second lead on other cars that run Mercedes engines reports BBC.

Mercedes clearly has the lead in power when it comes to the new F1 engines for 2014. Mercedes also clearly has a handling an aero lead over the other teams as well. With no other competition challenging the Mercedes duo, Hamilton and Rosberg went out and fought it out between themselves.

And boy, did they fight with neither driver giving an inch. Mercedes warned both drivers with the exact same working to be sure that they brought both cars home. It would have been tragedy had both Mercedes cars been knocked out of the race.

A caution at the end brought out the safety car destroying the large lead that Hamilton had built up over Rosberg. Some though Hamilton would end up losing his top spot in the race since he was on hard tires and Rosberg was on fresh soft compound tires. However, Hamilton put on one heck of a drive and held Rosberg off to take the top spot.

While Hamilton and Rosberg stood in first and second places n the podium, third place went to Sergio Perez with force India getting him his first podium finish in years. Defending champion Sebastian Vettel could only muster a sixth place finish.
