Following the release of his brand new album, Ride Out, Bob Seger is taking a tour across America to promote his music.
Bob Seger has been a fan favorite especially for his live performances. Every girl likes a biker who can hit some notes and sing and Bob was just that. Along with his band, Silver Bullet Band Bob has sung some chart topping songs.
Bob took an eleven years long break from his fame to raise his kids after his tour in support of his album in 1995; It’s a Mystery. He returned to do a tour again in 2003 was on and off the music scene ever since.
During that time he let himself go health-wise but after his colonoscopy a few years ago, Bob picked himself up and got into taking care of his health and making music. According to an interview, he admitted that he bicycles 10 miles a day and has given up smoking so we can expect some of his voice to be the same. Bob is excited about the tour.
He said in an interview that the music industry has changed a lot and he would barely get time for his music compared to the music being played these days. He admitted that the music industry has changed entirely from what it used to be and that’s half the reason of why he’s doing the tour for Ride Out. He would definitely be singing some fan favorites which according to him you can’t really get away without singing.
Those songs include “Night Moves,” ”Mainstreet” and “Turn the Page.” He would also sing songs from the new album. Ride out includes his versions of some classic songs and some of his original music “Gates of Eden,” “You Take Me In” and “All of the Roads,” which he debuted on the road in 2013. Seger would definitely be hitting the roads with his vast catalogue of songs and as he said “taking it tour by tour”, he intends to extend hi musical career for the rest of his life.
The tickets are available online and pre-sales would be available for Seger devotees. The tour begins November 19th in Saginaw, Michigan and wraps up February 27th, 2015 in Los Angeles. The J. Geils Band will be opening for the great artist on selected dates.
