The authority of Belgium might include Apple’s website in the blacklist, as it accuses the company for providing the ‘misleading’ warranty information
Apple’s happy day in Belgium might have come to an end, as a magistrate of Brussels is rumored to block the tech giant’s website in the country, as a result of the accusation of deceiving customers with inappropriate warranty information.
According to Apple Balla, the serious news has been revealed by DMorgan, which states that the Federal Public Service (FPS) Economy and the judge have talked about the possible punishment for the alleged violation of policy. The judge is strongly rumored to put Apple’s website on the blacklist. However, the decision is yet to be finalized.
In the EU countries, there is such a law that forces the technology companies to offer a two-year warranty facility for their products. However, Apple typically offers a one-year warranty service. If the consumers are interested to prolong the warranty, they will have to accept the AppleCare plans.
In the last year, Apple changed its policy for the EU customers, entitled the devices with a two-year warranty service. Nonetheless, it cannot reach the satisfactory mark of the high-officials of Belgium.
Apple’s website is definitely an important factor for not only expanding the business but also generating an enhanced revenue. The block of the website will indeed cause a huge damage for the company in Belgium, as it will prohibit other affiliate websites as well, including the iTunes and app store.
