CES 2015: Sony debuts Android-powered Walkman NW-ZX2 for $1,119

Sony’s latest Android-powered music player has been developed for all on-the-move music lovers and will be producing high resolution music.

Sony has introduced a new model to its Walkman family at the CES 2015 in Las Vegas. This High-Resolution Walkman NW-ZX2 is made for serious music lovers and puts the exquisite musical refinement of Hi-Res Audio right in your pocket.

This will take the consumers beyond CD quality for an unmatched listening experience while they are out. Hi-Res Audio has been selected by Sony because it retains far more detail during the analogue-to-digital conversion process. This helps in providing a more authentic musical experience.

The new Walkman by Sony has been beautifully designed and is an accomplished performer with a host of meticulous design refinements which ensures audio that captures every nuance of the artist’s original creativity.

The S-Master HX full digital amplifier by Sony keeps audio signal processing entirely in the digital domain to support the playback of Hi-Res sound. This new technology has helped to deliver accurate massive amounts of wide bandwidth audio data while it also minimizes noise and distortion.

Moreover the powerful DSEE HX processing creates very important high frequency musical information that’s lost in compressed sound files. Plus the CD and MP3 sources have been up scaled which expands the sampling frequency and bit depth beyond their original values to near Hi-Res quality. With great amounts of musical detail to enjoy consumers will feel as if they are really in the studio.

Sony has taken care of every detail and at every stage of the audio pathway Sony has upgraded with extensive use of thick film copper layer PCBs, high purity lead free solder and OFC (Oxygen Free Copper).

Moreover the overall sound quality of the Walkman has been increased by using components such as coils, MELF type resistors and film condensers. Plus the new Walkman by Sony will support the efficient LDAC codec.

This is a new audio technology that has been developed by Sony and will be used in this Walkman that is now on display at CES 2015. This technology basically lets the consumers enjoy high quality wireless audio through Bluetooth technology.

Moreover this LDAC technology helps in transmitting data three times faster than previous Bluetooth connections. The new technology of LDAC thus provides enhanced wireless listening experience for all music. This new model is also equipped with one-touch pairing with NFC which delivers wireless connection between the Walkman and other devices.

Potential buyers and music lovers will be happy to learn that Sony is providing a 128GB internal storage for this new Walkman. This means that there will be plenty of space for users to carry their music collections easily.

Plus this can be expanded to 256GB and even has an optional micro SD card slot. Keeping mind that consumers love to listen to music non-stop for long periods of time Sony has provided the new Walkman with a new high capacity Li-ion battery. This battery helps to boost playback time to as long as 60hrs from just a single charge.
