New Flash based Windows 8.1 Laptops are ready to battle the Google ChromeBooks in Black Friday sales with prices below $100.

There is a new low cost Windows Laptop in town and it has the chance to take away market share from Google’s Chromebooks. Microsoft and Intel have finally developed hardware that can take pricing below $200. The most attention got the HP Stream 11 priced at $199, but there are other brands that offer Windows 8.1 Laptops based on the new architecture that push the price below $100 on Black Friday 2014.

Staples has unveiled that the office supplier will sell the Asus X205TA for $99.99 in the Staples Black Friday 2014 sale. The Asus X205TA runs on an Intel Atom CPU. This 11.6-inch laptop has 2GB of RAM and a 32GB SSD storage.

Another new entry in the low-cost Windows 8 laptop segment is the 2-in-1 Windows 8 laptop from Nextbook sold exclusively at Walmart. The Nextbook 10.1″ features a 10.1-inch touchscreen with 1,280x800px, 1.83Ghz Intel Atom Z3735G Quad-Core CPU, 1GB RAM, 32GB SSD, 2MP camera, 0.3MP front camera, mini HDMI port, micro USB port, 3-axis g-sensor, 6000mAh battery, Wi-fi and Bluetooth. Like the HP Stream tablet and laptop, the Nextbook 10.1″ also comes with a free 1-yr Microsoft Office 365 Personal service.

And there is the $199.99 HP Stream 11. The HP Stream is more powerful than its peers. The Stream runs on an Intel Celeron N2840 CPU. Other features of the HP Stream 11 include 2GB DDR3L SDRAM. 32GB Solid-State Drive, 11.6-Inch Screen, Windows 8.1, 8.25-hour battery life and 1TB OneDrive Cloud Storage for one year. On top of that you also get a year free use of Office 365 Personal.

The Google Chromebooks at the $200 price point have half the storage capacity as the most obvious weakness. Google Chromebooks are under pressure and will also see Black Friday deals for Chromebooks. The best deal revealed so far is a $50 credit with the purchase of a Samsung Chromebook in the Meijer Black Friday 2014 Ad. We expect though that the HP Stream 11 will be offered for less than $199.99 in the upcoming Black Friday sales making it the “Black Friday Laptop” of 2014.
