Court Orders Prokop to Keep off Sarah Hyland

Modern Family actress, Sarah Hyland can now breath a sigh of relief following a restraining order that was issued by the court against her former boyfriend, Matthew Prokop. The court ordered Prokop to always maintain a distance of not less than 300 yards from Sarah and her dog. Sarah and Prokop have been in the film industry for long.  TMZreported that  the two lovers have been dating for the last four years. They actually met during the auditions for High School Musical 3: Senior Year back in 2008. The couple have starred in many movies together including Geek Charming.

Hyland stated that her relationship with Prokop was a waste of time because she was constantly abused throughout the entire period. she narrated how at one time Prokop had attempted to strangle her while pressing her hard against a vehicle. The actress said that the grip was so tight such that she found it difficult to breath. And as if that was not enough, the actor added more pain to injury by calling her a C*** repeatedly. It is actually this incidence and others that called for the issuance of the restraining order.

According to the papers that were availed to the court, there was an instance when Prokop behaved in a weird manner after finding Hyland with her on- screen mother, Bowen in the company of other people in his house in Texas. The court was told that the actor went to the backyard and started screaming at the top of his voice. The actress said she owed it all to Bowen for having assisted her terminate the abusive relationship.

Hyland stated that Prokop later returned to the house and hurled a lighter at her. This behavior prompted Bowen and Sarah to walk out of the house because they feared for their lives. According to the case files, Prokop had boldly declared that he would set one of her properties on fire and send her dog to its maker.

Sarah argued that of late she is traumatized due to the threatening texts and emails that she has been receiving from her former boyfriend. It is alleged that Prokop threatened to kill himself. Prokop is said to have been enrolled at a rehab center but did not stay there for long. Hyland pointed out that she decided to file the case following a tip off from one of the employees that is based at the center.
