Samsung to pay $930 million in damages to Apple as ordered by the court

According to what Reuters reported in the early January this year, the Samsung Mobile Division and Apple CEO were to arrange for a meeting to help both the parties in reaching an agreement out of court. It has almost been a month since this news circulated around and we now we are hearing that no such mutual decision has been arrived at by the two parties.

The CEOs JK Shin and Tim Cook arranged a meeting during the last week and met in US to discuss matters and reach a mutual agreement but unfortunately the lethal battle between the two companies will still carry one because an agreed upon status was not achieved. No further information is being given away the Samsung spokesperson as well who made no comments on the situation and clearly stated that he is not even sure if any meeting was held at all. Regardless of what the parties think, the court in San Jose, California has clearly stated that an agreement needs to be arrived at by February the 19th. If the parties fail to do so, which they did eventually, the court will have to take the final verdict. The court’s ruling was in favor of Apple and it has demanded of Samsung that a $930 million sum has to be paid off in damages to Apple.
