Johnson split from her boyfriend due to her busy filming schedule but the production of 50 Shades sequel /4/be postponed because of production feuds as writer seeks control over script!
Dakota Johnson is single! The actress, who portrayed Anastasia Steele in Fifty Shades of Grey, recently split from her boyfriend model/rocker Matthew Hitt due to scheduling conflicts. Johnson has been extremely busy while filming and promoting her film and the couple amicably separated in December.
Although Johnson is a new option for casting directors, the actress and her co-star Jamie Dornan will not be able to commit to any new projects. The filming for the next installment of the Fifty Shades of Grey is still not confirmed due to management difficulties.
Since Fifty Shades of Grey became a box office hit fans expect to see two more movies from the novel trilogy. However the next installment ‘Fifty Shades Darker’ /4/be a long time in coming, since Universal studios has yet to officially announce a sequel to the blockbuster film.
The reason for the delayed production for the next film is due to vacancies in the creative team. According to close sources both the director Sam-Taylor Johnson and screenwriter Kelly Marcel will most probably not return for the next installment, although the decision is still not official.
Another woe for the Universal studio has risen in the form of E. L. James herself, the author of the 50 Shades of Grey books trilogy. James is demanding more control over the script for the next installment by writing it herself. Variety magazine reported although Universal studios are reluctant about the notion they are still considering it and apparently arguing with James over the details.
If James is given liberty to write the screenplay for 50 Shades Darker it will probably postpone the release date of the next film. Film production /4/not start until 2016 and the release could be shifted to late 2016 or early 2017, due to revisions in the script as James has never written a screenplay before.
James didn’t sign the rights to her books over to Universal Studio until she was bargained for and received special privileges not customary of authors. In addition to casting control over the characters, the writer James was also credited as one of the producers in the film.
