Oscars 2015 Best Picture Award Goes To

Boyhood

The Oscars 2015 will take place today. The Best Picture Award is very hard to predict this year. Three movies are dominating the predictions.

Remember Doogie Howser? He is hosting the Oscars tonight. Neil Patrick Harris rose to fame as child actor in the Doogie Howser, M.D. TV show in the early nineties. He now known more for his hilarious womanizer role in the hit TV show How I Met Your Mother. Neil Patrick Harris will be at the helm of Hollywood’s Super Bowl. The biggest Movie Award Show is this year dominated by three movies: Boyhood, Budapest Hotel and Birdman. Less talked about, but also rich in nominations are American Sniper, The Imitation Game and Fox Catcher.

The most coveted Academy Award is Best Picture. We predict that the unique concept of Boyhood will take home the big price. Richard Linklater filmed Boyhood over the course of 12 years. Boyhood tells the story a young boy named Mason. Mason is child of divorced parents, both of whom are facing their own set of challenges, Mason, along with his sister Samantha get shaped by the strengths and frailties of the adults around him have a profound impact on his own life.

Our second choice is Birdman with Michael Keaton. It is the big comeback story of 2014. We think that the Academy Awards will stay away from American Sniper as too much controversy surrounds this picture.

We could also imagine that The Grand Budapest Hotel takes home Best Picture as it an overall beautiful movie created by Wes Anderson. It is one of those movies you would watch again.

The Best Picture Academy Award will put the other Academy Awards 2015 in perspective.
